Rental Information

Muskoka Chair | Woodgate Cottages

LOCATION:

Our cottages are located on very quiet road, in a quiet bay on Lake Cecebe.  (just north of Muskoka and west of Algonquin Park).  The beauty of our area is breath-taking with large white pines, the ripples of the lake, lots of granite rock faces, many waterfalls nearby and tons of peace & quiet.

  • Next closest town: Burk’s Falls, Ontario (15 kms)

RENTAL RULES:

NO PARTIES OR EXCESSIVE NOISE
 

  • Quiet hours: 11pm to 9am

  • No excessive dog barking

  • No machine/device/music/yelling that negatively impacts our neighbours’ by infringing on their enjoyment of cottage life 

  • No noise created by a machine/device/yelling/music that negatively impacts

 

NON-SMOKING COTTAGE

 

  • Smoke and vaping are not permitted indoors or near windows where the wind can carry smoke inside. Not without permission of the owner. If the smell of smoke is detected indoors and deemed to be a problem, an extra cleaning fee will be charged. This includes: tobacco, marijuana, vaping.

 

PETS

 

  • Well behaved dogs only

  • Not permitted on furniture (bring several old sheets/blankets to cover beds/furniture if your dog insists on going on the furniture)

  • No barking or going onto neighbours’ properties

  • Clean up dog waste

No professional photography/videos shoots ​

NOTE: The owners have cats and a dog so our cottages are not suitable to individuals with animal allergies

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY

PAYMENT TERMS

 

  • TOTAL AMOUNT DUE: Rental rate + damage deposit + cleaning fee + HST

  • ​PAYMENT #1: 50% is required at the time of booking to secure dates

  • PAYMENT #2: remainder due 14 days prior to start of the rental

TOTAL RENTAL PRICE (per cottage)

​

  • HEMLOCK HAVEN: rental rate (varies depending on time of year) + $500 damage deposit + $125 cleaning fee + HST

  • CEDAR BAY: rental rate (varies depending on time of year) + $750 damage deposit + $225 cleaning fee + HST

  • FERNGLEN: rental rate (varies depending on time of year) + $750 damage deposit + $225 cleaning fee + HST


DAMAGE DEPOSIT

  • After inspection of the cottage is completed to determine there are no damages or no missing items, then your damage deposit will be refunded to you 100%. Damages/extra cleaning fees/missing items will be deducted from your damage deposit. Refunds will be sent within 7 days of checkout.​

STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY

 

  • Cancellations 30 days or more prior to start of rental, get full refund minus $100 cancellation fee

  • Cancellations less than 30 days prior to start of rental forfeit all payments paid to date

​

COVID CANCELLATION POLICY

 

  • If the Ontario government states that your rental is not permitted due to Covid related reasons during your rental dates, you will receive a 100% refund ie maximum # of people per gathering, # of households, no short term rentals etc.
